Language service for the Netherlands
New market in the sights: The international translations service provider Noraktrad has closed a joint venture with the German-Dutch communication agency mediamixx. “Together we want to add value to the Dutch translation market. As complex translations specialists, we see great potential there”, explains Noraktrad managing director, Stephan Oeller. The partners appear under the label “Norak Vertaalservice, powered by mediamixx”.
Since 1994, mediamixx has been specializing in communications consulting for Dutch and German customers who are active in their respective neighbouring countries. The agency, based in Kleve in the Lower Rhine region, has 14 employees from both countries. Noraktrad, headquartered in Madrid, has also been active since 1994 as a global translation agency. One focus is on specialist translations such as technical documentation, contracts and patents. The Spanish company has a pool of 4,000 specialists covering almost every conceivable language combination. Around 50 office employees ensure smooth processes throughout.
“Over the past 23 years, we have built up an extensive network of Dutch clients and partners and are experts in Dutch-German cooperation. Noraktrad has perfected its service offering during this time, has received multiple certifications and has since worked for numerous global players such as Siemens and Lufthansa. Noraktrad translates an average of more than five million words every month. Thus, we bring the contacts and market knowledge to the table, while Noraktrad provides the language expertise and a well-practiced back office”, the mediamixx managing director Frank Wöbbeking describes the cooperation. For many mediamixx customers, the new service would be interesting. Some of them are already benefiting from the cooperation of the two partners.
The contact between the two companies came about through the German sales representative of Noraktrad, Jörg Guderjahn, who has lived in the Lower Rhine area for several years. The first contacts have resulted in a relaxed cooperation that has been running successfully for two years. “We have found that the chemistry is right and we can work together excellently. That’s why we decided to do this right at this point”, says Stephan Oeller. Noraktrad already has several offices in Europe, Australia, China and the USA.
